The D10 Endorse Mitt Romney For the Republican Nomination

A MAN WITH THE COURAGE TO BE BOLD

His promotional flyer says, "In this media-driven age, Romney begins with a decisive advantage. First, he has sensational good looks. People magazine named him one of the 50 most beautiful people in America. Standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall, Romney has jet-black hair, graying naturally at the temples. Women -- who will play a critical role in this coming election -- have a word for him: hot."

Former Massachuteses (spelled that right on the first try) Gov. Willard "Mitt" Romney is a leader who can bring Washington the type of endurance and pulse it sorely needs

After two decades of suffering through candidates who were flabby,

effette,

or just fucking old,

in Mitt Romney America not only has a man who is running for President, we have a man who can run for President.

This youthful vigor gives him a courage not easily replicated. Mitt Romney is the kind of tough that's not afraid to stand up to special interests, be they wealthy insurance lobbyists, or polarizing groups like the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals):

Romney placed his family dog, an Irish setter named Seamus, into a kennel lashed to the top of his station wagon for a 12-hour family trip from Boston to Ontario in 1983. Despite being shielded by a wind screen the former Massachusetts governor erected, Seamus expressed his discomfort with a diarrhea attack.

Obviously Seamus lacked the resolve that is needed to stand up to the terrorists.
It's too bad Mitt's genes for leadership couldn't have been carried on to his sons.

When Romney's eldest son, Tagg, and his four brothers complained about the brown runoff down the back windshield, their father quietly pulled the car over, borrowed a gas station hose and sprayed down both the dog and the kennel before returning to the road.

Clearly you do not have the resolve needed to stop the terrorists, Tagg.

"He scrambled up there every time we went on trips," Romney said at a campaign stop in Pittsburgh Thursday. "He got it all by himself and enjoyed it."

A POLITICAL OPPORTUNIST?

Mitt Romney will not let the chance at a single endorsement dominate his breakfast.

Many have accused Mitt Romney of pandering; of telling crowds what they want to hear. Our question to the American public: Is this the action of a man who values popularity at all costs?

When asked his favorite novel in an interview shown yesterday on the Fox News Channel, Mitt Romney pointed to “Battlefield Earth,” a novel by L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology. That book was turned into a film by John Travolta, a Scientologist.

A spokesman said later it was one of Mr. Romney’s favorite novels.
“I’m not in favor of his religion by any means,” Mr. Romney, a Mormon, said. “But he wrote a book called ‘Battlefield Earth’ that was a very fun science-fiction book.” Asked about his favorite book, Mr. Romney cited the Bible.

AN INNOVATOR

Mitt Romney has the type of outside the box thinking we need if America is going to tackle the challenges of a world in which resources are becoming increasingly scarce:

Five Republican presidential candidates are swarming around the Iowa State Fairgrounds today. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and his wife flipped chops on the grill at the Pork Producers stand. "I love hamburgers and hot dogs," Romney said in answer to a question about his tastes in grilled food. "Whoa! There goes one."

Romney, who was flipping cooked chops into a container, dropped one near his feet. Some of the men who'd been manning the grill since early this morning shouted, "Leave it. Leave it. Leave it." Romney and a few others started talking about the "five second rule." Romney's wife suggested the chop could be given to "the dogs."

Romney bent down, picked up the chop and tossed it back on the grill. "Don't throw 'em away," Romney said, chuckling, as he rescued the chop. "I hope you don't do that at home," a fairgoer shouted from the sidewalk.

Fellow citizens, we have many miles to go in our national quest to be great again. Rising defecits, energy shortages, jihadist terrorism, and political strife at home have pushed this country to deep and serious levels of crisis. In the Republican field, we see one man who can reverse these trends and put our country back on the map.

Come on, Mitt, put America back on the grill.

  1. 'A Saga of the Year 3000'

Hopefully Mitt will still be president... or oman... or whatever they're called. I never saw the movie.
