Illinois Senator Barack Obama stands on the cusp of history. He has won a remarkable 11 straight contests in the Democratic nominating process and on March 4 stands a good chance of running Hillary Clinton from the race with a win in either Ohio, Texas, or both.
Exit polls have shown an ever exppanding base of support for Sen. Obama during his recent run of victories. As the days and weeks have gone by, exit polls have shown the junior senator from the Land of Lincoln cutting vast swaths of support from traditional Clinton-friendly demographics such as women, low income voters, and latinos. The one area where Mrs. Clinton (D - NY) has held firm in her support is among voters aged 55 and older.
Today that advantage is no more. Greg Oden has endorsed Barack Obama for President of the United States.
